Merry Christmas Precision Family

Precision Family - Circa: 2019

It’s no secret that 2020 was a tough year, and it’s no secret that this year brought lots of change to all of our lives. While it’s easy to focus on all the things we lost this year, I am taking this time to remember what I have gained and to thank those who were responsible.

This year, I quit my full time job to be part of a full time family. I left the security of a corporate career for the consistent embrace of the Precision community. In the hustle and bustle of the daily operations at Precision Training, it’s easy to forget that I’ve been a full time trainer here for only FOUR AND A HALF  MONTHS. The one reason I can say that those four months have felt like far longer is because I feel like I was welcomed into this fold a long time ago.

After graduating college in the spring of 2018, I realized that I didn’t want to be a chemist anymore, and I knew that I didn’t want to be part of corporate America. For the first time in my life, I made the decision to do what felt right rather than what was safe or guaranteed. As a scientist by trade, just know that I almost never do something unless it’s a sure thing. I went back and forth on whether I needed or wanted to do an internship after receiving my certification as a Personal Trainer, but ultimately I went forward with it, and it was then that I found Precision (or, should I say, Precision found me - I technically had nothing to do with the placement).

I’m not typically one to bolster the events of life on anything but logic and the understanding that blood, sweat, and tears usually equate to progress and success. But, dare I say, that ending up at Precision Training for my internship was fate. You - our community - and the other trainers at Precision have done more for me than I could have ever imagined. You have changed me and you have changed my life. I wanted to take time this holiday season and at the culmination of what has been the hardest year of most of our lives to say, more than anything…

THANK YOU.

Thank you for accepting me and how I differ from the other trainers here. Thank you for allowing me to learn alongside you. Thank you for allowing me to teach you. Thank you for trusting me to take care of you even when you didn’t know me all that well. Thank you for respecting me like I belonged here from Day 1.

I hope that this year, more than ever, you take the time to reflect back on what you have gained in 2020. I hope that you have time to rest and relax, and to fill your emotional,  physical, and mental bucket until it is overflowing. I hope that you and your loved ones remain happy and healthy, and have a fantastic holiday season and end to 2020 - the year that changed all of our lives.
