YOUR Journey Matters

A lot has changed over the past 5 years at Precision Training. We’ve gone from 1 trainer to 5 trainers, from 1 location to 2 locations, and from offering only 1-on-1 training to offering 4 different individualized training services as well as individualized nutrition coaching services.

From the outside looking in, Precision Training looks completely different from where we started. For anyone who hasn’t been IN Precision since the pandemic started, you might be wondering what to expect when you walk through those doors for the first time again… Well, even though a lot has changed, so much has stayed the same.

At Precision Training, YOUR journey is, and always will be, our first priority.

Anyone who trains with us knows, we put YOU first. But, if you haven’t trained with Precision before, you might not know what we mean by “we put YOU first”.

There’s an old saying that goes, “people don’t care how much you know, till they know how much you care”. As Precision Trainers, our mission is to help our clients achieve their fitness goals, live healthier lives, and get the most out of their body and mind because we care about them. But, in order to do ANY of that for ANY person, it’s not enough that we just say we care. First, trust has to be built with that person. In order to build trust, we have to know who our client is, and they have to know that we understand where they are and who they are before they’ll really trust us as their trainer.

Having a trainer who wants to understand WHERE YOU ARE is crucial. If a client walks through the door and needs to lose 100lbs, then why on Earth would we have them do a 1 rep max deadlift? It makes no sense for that person AND WHERE THEY ARE.

On a different level, if a client walks in to train and they’re visibly down in the dumps, how will we respond to that person? Well, that all depends on: the PERSON who just walked in.

Responding with compassion to WHERE YOU ARE on a day to day basis physically, mentally, and emotionally is part of what we do, but it’s not where we stop.

What has continued to set Precision Training apart isn’t our equipment, our pallet walls, or our prices. It’s the level of individualization that each client experiences from the first moment they step through our door.

WHO YOU ARE, is way more than just the basic info: age, weight, goals, job, family, weekend hobbies and how you’re feeling on a day to day basis. From our vantage point, that’s where most “trainer – client” dynamics stop short… at the surface.

At Precision, we want to know who our client is, because as stated previously, we care about every person we train and their personal progress. In order to help a client make (and continue to make) progress, it’s paramount for a trainer to know how their client learns best, because what works for one person, doesn’t necessarily work for everyone. We do not believe in a “cookie-cutter” approach to training. YOUR journey matters and the approach we take to training you matters. What doesn’t matter is: if you train in a Small Group Training Class or if you work 1-on-1 with a Precision Trainer, taking an individualized approach to each client’s journey is part of who we are and is why we do what we do.
