Holiday Eats: AMPAP Mentality - As Many Plates As Possible

Yet again, we find ourselves in the most wonderful time of year! A time for appreciation of family, swapping gifts, unwinding and getting ready for the impending New Year's celebration (and I'm sure this year's is gonna be a good one). My favorite, however, is the holiday dinner(s) with family!

Everyone has a different mentality when it comes to this event. There are tons of ways to enjoy the experience of the holiday feast(s) without falling off the wagon entirely.

I, however, am a bro💪🏻. While most people are focusing on trying to “limit their intake” during the celebratory feast(s) and exercise "self-control", the Broski knows better.

The holidays are peak bulk territory. For a brofessor, the cut is on the horizon and you know that soon all of your muscle that you've built will be visible and defined. You're about to be eating chicken and broccoli for the next few months. You could totally just talk to Ashlyn and get meals that would allow you to enjoy your cut, but you're too proud and set in your ways for your brain to be making decisions that actually make sense. Besides, Rich Gaspari said so.

This is your last opportunity to put on a bit of extra size. That, therefore, means you've gotta eat, brochacho!

So the holidays are an AMPAP (As Many Plates As Possible). Obviously, the only responsible and proper thing to do is to smash a workout the morning of (obviously chest, I'll hit legs next month I promise), and to get ALL the calories. You must beat everyone else at the table. Those muscles ain't gonna grow themselves, dude. The workout is just the warmup, the eating is what separates the wheat from the chaff.

More dessert? No problem. Sure I'll take seconds! Also, let me know if you're not going to finish that.

I want to make sure there is more of me by next week. Forget regret, we are making gainz!

Everyone is different, and everyone is going to approach the holiday eats differently for their goals. Joanna's post on healthifying recipes is an awesome resource for controlling intake and macros, still being able to eat healthy and enjoy your meals.

I'm just going to eat half of everything.

Merry Gainz-mas Precision Training!
